Greetings in Christ Jesus! I’m Fr. Josemaría, the chaplain for CCH and a parochial vicar at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church just south of the Homewood Campus. I hail from Venezuela via New York. As an undergrad at Notre Dame (IN), I studied Italian Literature and from there God brought me to the Dominicans! I give thanks to God for the chance to serve as a priest here at Johns Hopkins. Hi there! My name is Fr. Dominic—I’m the assistant chaplain for our Catholic Community at Hopkins (CCH), a parochial vicar here at SS. Philip & James, and chaplain for our Baltimore Frassati Fellowship young adult ministry. I’m pumped to join y’all here in Baltimore for my first priestly assignment! I hail from smalltown, farm-country, northwest Ohio. I did my undergrad at the Franciscan University of Steubenville and I worked for a bit as an office manager. By a sheer gift of God’s grace that still blows me away, I entered the Dominicans in 2016 and was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in 2023. I thank God every day for my vocation, and I am very excited to get to work in the vineyard here in Baltimore! I’m a big fan of board games, I like to hike and work out, and I love a good conversation over a good campfire. I look forward to getting to know you!
